For the design of the bakery, the goal was to showcase how environmental sustainability can flourish even in an industrial city like Pittsburgh. By combining natural elements such as plants, flowers, and wood with industrial materials like stone, glass, and metal, the design seeks to create a harmonious space that celebrates the beauty of nature within an urban landscape.

This project focuses on the renovation of the Round Corner Cantina located at 3720 Butler St. The interior layout will remain largely unchanged, preserving the charm of its original design, while the exterior patio will be entirely new. A key feature of the renovation is the inclusion of a replica of a local Pittsburgh mural, which highlights themes of industry, nature, and family, further strengthening the cantina's connection to the city’s rich heritage.

While the interior provides a functional space for a quick bite, the exterior reimagines the outdoor dining experience. The theme of arches extends outdoors with a striking, large arched roof, offering shelter from the elements. Underneath is a variety of seating options to suit almost every preference. Whether it be at the bar, around a picnic table, or gathered near the firepit, there is sure to be a welcoming spot for everyone.
